The Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (Section 30C) expired on June 30, 2026 and is no longer available for EV charger installations. If you installed your charger before that date, consult your tax advisor about claiming it on your 2026 return.
The 30C Credit Is No Longer Available
The federal Section 30C Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit expired on June 30, 2026. Installations completed on or after July 1, 2026 do not qualify. If you installed a charger before that date, consult a qualified tax professional about your eligibility.
